The Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis is hosting John August Swanson for a gallery talk and reception on Saturday, June 9th, 6:00-8:00 p.m..  John’s visit from Los Angeles is in conjuction with a show of his work, “Bringing Stories to Life Through Art/The Art of John August Swanson” showing at the Basilica’s John XXIII Gallery and Teresa of Calcutta Hall April 14-June 24, 2012.  John will also speak with visitors in the Basilica Gallery following 9:30 and 11:30 masses on Sunday, June 10th.  John has been one of our best artists for over twenty years and is a fascinating speaker.  This event is highly recommended.  For more information, call 612-333-1831 or go to the Basilica’s website www.mary.org.
