John August Swanson

We are proud to have represented Los Angeles Artist John August Swanson for over 20 years.  John is a mostly self-taught serigraph (silk screen print) artist whose Christian, music, and circus-themed images captivate viewers.  He has been collected by important museums around the world including the Vatican Museum and the Smithsonian Museums.

John’s work is exceptionally detailed, with up to 89 colors per image.  His attention to detail insures that one can look at his images many times and not see it all.  John spends six to twelve months working with a master printer to produce each edition of his serigraphs.  In spite of his painstaking work, his prints are surprisingly affordable.  John wants his work to be accessible to a wide audience.  We keep a large inventory of John’s work, so please stop in soon.  John August Swanson’s work has to be seen in person to be appreciated.
